Tomato Pulav

Lockdown and subsequent closure of food joints has made people cook and relish home made food. Below is an easy recipe of Tomato PULAV which I want you to try and savour.


INGREDIENTS: ( Serve 4 to 5 people)
1. One and a Half  measure Basmati or Sonamasuri Rice.
2. Two big onions  
3. Four big tomatoes 
4.One large capsicum
5.100 gms Cooked Peas
6.100 gms paneer ( squarely cut and golden brown shallow fried)
7. 3-4 green chillies
8. One spoon of cut coriander leaves 
9. One tsp Ginger garlic paste.
10. 3-4 spoons of cooking oil
11. 3-4 spoons of Tomato ketchup
12. 2 spoons of Pav Bhaji masala
13. One spoon each — Garam Masala powder, Chilli powder and Rasam powder. 
14. Salt15.
15- 20 Badam. (Cut into pieces and roasted in ghee).


PREPARATION:  
First cook rice in pressure cooker.( just as done for pulav).


Take a nonstick pan. Add 3 spoons of oil cumin seeds and once the seasoning is done, add ginger garlic paste, green chillies, turmeric powder, squarely cut onions and tomatoes, capsicum, peas and paneer. Allow it to cook for 2-3 minutes. Add salt to taste and then add tomato ketchup, all masala powders as mentioned above. Again allow it to get mixed for another 2-3 minutes. Now pour the cooked rice on to the pan and mix well. 


Garnish it with finely chopped coriander and cut badam.
Tomato PULAV is ready.

Spread the Pulav on a serving plate and decorate it with sliced tomatoes, coriander leaves and pieces of badam.
