The younger sibling may crib about wearing or using the discarded clothes, books, stationery of his elder brother or sister. However, the younger brother or sister cannot deny that their elder sibling is more like a parent to them.

The elder sibling gets all the care and pampering from his or her parents before the second child is born. But when the elder sibling is blessed with a kid brother or sister, he or she gets extremely protective about his or her new ‘toy’. He or she has maternal or paternal feelings towards his or her younger sibling.
In fact, the younger sibling goes on to expect that his elder brother and sister is more like a parent to him or her.
The elder brother or sister goes the extra mile to make sure his younger sibling does not repeat the same mistakes he or she did. The elder sibling wants the best for the apple of his eye and would make sure he or she is always there for his younger brother or sister.
The elder sibling substitute for parents whenever needed. When parents are busy, they usually request the elder sibling to take the responsibility of taking care of his or her younger brother or sister. And the elder sibling would just love to babysit and have all the fun with his younger brother or sister.
And the younger sibling too trusts his elder brother or sister blindly. Their trust on the elder sibling is equal to what they put on their parents. And the elder sibling just makes sure he or she doesn’t break the trust and is a role model for his younger brother or sister.
The elder sibling helps out his younger brother or sister in homework, and when they grow up, they hang out together, sharing a great bond.
When they are in their teens, they share all the activities together, with the elder sibling making sure his younger brother or sister has the fun of their life.
